Good evening and happy Monday!
We hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day and were able to celebrate it with your special loved ones this weekend! Due to the holiday, we still want to share this week's Nanny Tip of the Week with you to start your week out right! And this week's nanny tip are three great gift ideas to go the extra mile and show your appreciation to your employer's this spring season. Without our employers, we would not have the opportunity to build such great relationships with the kids we care for, so why not take this time to show some appreciation to the parents. Plus, with Mother's Day and Father's Day being recognized in the month of May and June, this is a great time to give a little gift of your own! Check out these fun ideas below and give one or more of them a try!
1. Make your own bouquet - Now that spring has sprung, go and check out your local farmer's market and gather some fresh blooms that are in season. Plus, families will appreciate that you took the time to make it especially for them. Include a note with some kind words to show how much you care and appreciate their family for all that they do for you!
2. Create a photo album to share memories - For all of the times that you likely take photographs at work, take some time to print out some of those photos and create a photo album/collage for the family to enjoy. Include fun outings you have taken the kids on or even just funny photographs of the kids while the parents were at work. This not only shares some fun memories, but shows that their kids' lives includes you and that you appreciate being a part of their family.
3. Set up a family outing - As busy as families get these days, a lot of times families have a hard time setting aside their routines and schedules to spend time together. Whether you decide to set up a picnic, a fun outdoor activity, a movie night in or something else that's more unique to the family, find what they will appreciate most and set it up for them! Helping your family build their own memories will really show that you went the extra mile this season.
These are just a few fun ideas to get you started, but feel free to get creative and do something outside of the box! Regardless of what you choose, be sure to show your family that you care! That's going to be all from us this week. Be sure to check out our tip next week for more great ideas on how to be a better nanny!
