New Year, New Nanny

Good evening readers!

Now that we have started a new year, we cannot fail to recognize all of the growth we have seen in all of our nannies here at Chicago Collegiate Nannies. We are so excited to have been a part of helping so many families make wonderful connections this year and we look forward to hearing many more success stories from families in the new year!

With new years come new changes, and we hope to use our Nanny Tip to set the stage for the new year to empower our nannies and to encourage you into the next year. Please check out our simple and important tips to keep in mind as 2017 gets underway!

1. Check in with goals for yourself - Be sure not to do this just professionally, but also personally! Take a few moments this month to check in with yourself and identify what things you want to keep up with, what things you want to change and in what ways you want to improve yourself. You will be a happier and healthier nanny overall if you make time to do this and reflect on what direction you want this year to go for yourself.

2. Identify what ways you want to practice self care - Learning how to take care of YOU is primary. If you aren't your best self, it can be incredibly difficult to be the best nanny you can be. Be sure to identify what ways you would like to improve on your self-care this year. This might include taking charge of your eating habits, improving your fitness, making time to journal throughout your week or even taking time to hang out with friends. Find what works for you and make it a priority to make it happen regularly. You will thank yourself!

3. Focus on practicing time management - Again, this goal not only can help you personally, but can also help you professionally. For those who practice this and can hold to it, they find themselves so much more at ease and in control of their schedule. Practicing this and making it a priority can be so helpful and can bring you a sense of satisfaction if you really begin to incorporate it in your everyday life!

4. Focus on why you are a nanny - Why did you decide to become a nanny? Do you remember? Take some time to really answer this question for yourself and remember why you do what you do. Remembering the answer to this question can put a lot of things in perspective for you in this new year so be sure to make time to do so.

There are certainly many things to keep in mind and reflect upon in this next year, and we hope that some of these jog your memory and thought processes as you begin a new year and a new season. Again, thank you so much for all of the work you have put into this new year. We can't wait to hear of the wonderful successes and matches that we are a small part of in this next year. Have a wonderful week and we will see you next time with our next Nanny Tip!

Best,
